I always like to play the rainbow game. This is how you play.
First you have to find a red car. Then you have to find an orange car. Then you have to find a yellow car. Then green, blue, and purple. You can not use specialty vehicles such as bulldozers and cranes. The car has to be more than 50% of the color, not just stripes or flames. IT IS RREEAALLYY ADDICTING, BUT IT IS SOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!:)

We love the license plate game! And finding the ABC's, playing I-Spy, Car Bingo, or Guess this Tune (where we hum). SO much fun!

I like that idea.

I have a friend who from a young age, gives her kids a significant allowance. But from that allowance they're required to buy the things they need for school (or otherwise) plus any extras.

As they got older, she involved them in the family finances - paying bills, etc.

Hey There Ussparenting,
Interesting Post, Many people think that all it takes for successful road trip planning is a couple of good maps or a GPS system, a car, and the urge to hit the road. Wrong!
Great Job!

I am so happy that I found this, because not only do I need this for a conference this weekend, but I need it to post in the house. My gifts ask me all of the time different questions, and I need to be able to show them scripture. Thanks a bunch!!!

Thanks for this poetic and moving analogy. Your point about what we don't see being important is valid and something I had not thought of in that way. Ellie.

The this this or that game is always fun. U play a game where u say three random words. Eg this this and that. The first person to talk after the last word is said is the person that is it. Then the people playing have to figure out who was it. The catch is that only u know the rules to the game and the other players have to figure out what the rules are. It's hard to explain but it's fun.

Hey Ussparenting,
I know what you mean, I've seen this with my little brothers and happend with me too, if my mom is trying to discipline my brothers they don't take her seriously and then she says I'm calling your dad and they are like no don't lol... my dad doesn't even hit us but we are more scared of him. I see this a lot in movies too, like the mom says don't make me get your father!
